STACO Launches Distribution of Aid Under the Winter Relief Program

02 December 2025 | Tripoli – Libya

The Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation (STACO) has launched today, in the city of Tripoli, the distribution phase of its “Winter Relief Program,” aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families as cold waves intensify and temperatures continue to drop across various regions.

The program seeks to strengthen the ability of families to cope with harsh winter conditions by providing essential items that help protect them from the cold—particularly children, women, and the elderly, who are among the most vulnerable groups.

The distributed assistance included winter clothing, shoes, coats, and electrical appliances, all provided according to the needs of each family. These items aim to improve living conditions and ensure a minimum level of warmth and comfort throughout the winter season.

During the distribution activities, the Foundation emphasized that the program is part of its seasonal humanitarian response plan, designed to alleviate the hardships faced by families in need. STACO highlighted the importance of such interventions in enhancing the resilience of affected households amid ongoing economic and living challenges.

The Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation reaffirms its commitment to effectively responding to the needs of displaced and vulnerable families, providing support that strengthens their stability and ensures a safer and warmer winter.
